The following is an example itinerary of the Exuma Islands.
|
DAY 1
Morning arrival and board your selected power yacht, docked alongside
Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, Bahamas. Introductions and vessel
orientation with a chat of the detailed itinerary, tour Atlantis and
lunch on board your yacht. Depart Paradise Island for a 2-hour passage
to the Northern Exuma Islands. Afternoon beachcombing and water sports
from the dinghy, or jet-ski. Offshore fishing is an option, as is
snorkeling. Happy Hour, then dinner while anchored out under the stars. |
DAY 2
Breakfast and morning visit to pristine beaches on Saddle Back Cay.
Reef snorkeling and spear-fishing near Crawfish Cay, followed by
a conch/lobster hunt in the clear water of Long Cay. Cruise south
while offshore fishing toward Wax Cay with lunch served underway.
Afternoon bottom fishing or visit Norman Cay and the beaches and
sandbars off North Shroud Cay. Happy Hour, then evening dinner under
the stars with fresh seafood served for dinner.

DAY 3
Morning exploring with dinghy off Shroud Cay Creek and beach party
on “Driftwood Beach”. Lunch on board, raise anchor and
cruise towards Wax Cay Cut for reef snorkeling. Afternoon deep sea
fishing for the big stuff, while we continue to head south along
the Exuma Island chain. Anchor near Emerald Rock on the west side
of Warderick Wells. Late afternoon water sports and visits to the
Exuma Land and Sea Park Headquarters. Relax while watching the tropical
sunset followed by dinner and a peaceful sleep at anchor. |

DAY 4
Morning swim and beachcombing after breakfast. Raise anchor and
set a course for blue water fishing and lunch offshore. Travel back
to explore Hall Pond Cay Cut. Drift snorkeling in the crystal clear
water over large coral reefs, followed by a visit to the mile-long
sand bar at Osprey Cay. Late afternoon cruise around the corner
to the gorgeous anchorage of Cambridge Cay. Early evening barbecue.

DAY 5
Morning swim, water sports, dinghy/jet ski trips to explore the
deserted beaches and coves around Cambridge Cay and Bell Island.
Raise anchor and head for Conch Cut to snorkel the reefs and caves
of Rocky Dundas. Proceed through Conch Cut west and south to an
anchorage near the Pipe Creek Islands. Explore the deep and narrow
cuts of JOE, Thomas and Overyander Cays via dinghy while drift snorkeling
and spear fishing. Evening docking at Sampson Cay.

DAY 6
Morning water sports and visit Sampson Cay beaches. Cruise southeast
through Big Rock Cut for offshore deep sea fishing, as well as some
bottom fishing. Return to Staniel Cay for a special snorkel trip into
Thunder ball Cave. Anchor for the night at Big Majors spot, or dock
at Staniel Cay Yacht Club for the night. Dine on board or choose dinner
and drinks at an island-style restaurant. |

DAY 7
After breakfast plan for the trip back, head for Staniel
Cay, cruise along the Exuma chain of islands, all the while deep
sea fishing from your yacht. Proceed to High Borne Cay Cut into
the great Bahamas banks. Anchor for a swim, visit Iguana Beach if
there is time on Allan’s Cay. Cruise back to Nassau in the
afternoon and dock at Nassau at the Paradise Island Atlantis Resort.
